Movin' On

Dempsey could tell something was up early this morning. He kept leading me toward the guest room and invited me to peek out the window with him to see all the action. Dempsey likes anything new and assumes any sort of activity is likely good, fun and related to him. He didn't realize this particular activity was bittersweet. It is moving day for our wonderful neighbors.

Dempsey will especially miss Romi and Mike, who helped train, socialize and just generally wear out Demps when he was just a wee little pup. From wearing Halloween costumes in April to ensure Demps wouldn't be startled by devils and lions come October, to "being a tree" and remaining still and ignoring a cute little pup when he was trying to get attention by jumping up, Mike and Romi were there from the start. Dempsey appreciates all the love and belly rubs! He will miss you. Doreen and Paul will miss their mother and father, who many times extended their snow shoveling path to include our sidewalk and driveway.

Best wishes in your new home Byoung, Seolmi, Mike and Romi! Dempsey is looking forward to seeing you at his graduation.

Dempsey's TV Turnoff

In celebration of "TV Turnoff Week," we watched a TV show about dogs. Well, at least Doreen and I did.

Dempsey was "pointing" at his favorite squeaky toy and asking Doreen for it. After he didn't get it, he went to bed and sulked.

We felt a little guilty ignoring our real dog to watch a TV show about dogs, but we tell ourselves it's part of his training. He can't always be the center of attention, even if he makes us feel guilty about it. The little stinker.
